In Less Than An Hour

Recently I've been reflecting on my amazing grandparents and how much I miss them. I think that has something to do with my well elder class at school. My grandparents were all amazing people who went through a lot in their lives. My grandpa Moore worked long days to provide for his family, and he still found time to create a beautiful garden. I'm so glad for the work ethic he inspired in my father, who has passed it on to me. I'm grat
eful for the sacrifices he made so that I could be here. He was amazing at woodwork, and I am so happy for the things I have to remind me of him and his love for me.

My grandma Moore was an amazing cook with an incredible love for children. She taught my mother to make her famous cinnamon rolls and how to decorate cakes, which my mom has passed on to me. I remember going to my grandparents every Sunday night, and having cookies from the cookie jar, popcorn freshly popped by grandpa, and candy from the candy jar. Some of my favorite childhood memories are at that house, watching g
randpa in the shop or grandma in her kitchen. Every year we would pick grandpa's walnuts up from the tree and then he would sit in the shop and crack them. I remember after grandma died and he got his cart he would drive all over Provo. At school people would tell me they saw my grandpa somewhere on his little cart with the flags:)

My grandma Williams is one of the most amazing people I know. She was the only member in her town, and would drive for quite a ways to attend church. She was a constant strength in my life. I knew that no matter what happened, my Grandma loved me. Even though she lived far away, I remember listening to her every night on the tapes she made for me of her reading my favorite books. Every time she came to visit I would get so excited. I love you Grandma!

Grandpa Williams wasn't around a whole lot, but I remember him visiting in his really big truck when I was little. I also remember standing outside a little brick building on the shore of a lake watching tornadoes form in the distance. He might not have been around, but I know that he loved me.

Another Grandpa I've been thinking a lot about lately is my Grandpa Bruce. He was the crossing guard at my school, and my substitute grandpa. He was my biggest fan, my cheerleader and my best friend. I told him everything. When I was having a bad day he could cheer me up like no one else. My last visit with him he told me that someone special was waiting for me somewhere that would deserve all I had to offer. I am so glad I followed the prompting to stop and visit him that day. He was an inspiration to everyone that knew him. His favorite song was "Angels Among Us" and he truly was an Angel on this earth.
I'm truly grateful for all of my grandparents and for the example they have been for me. My current favorite song is called "In Less Than An Hour". I talks about God's time, and how in less than an hour in his time, we will all be together again.
